Website rescue questions
Will we lose our place on Google?
We keep your page addresses where we can and set up permanent (301) redirects for the rest, so search engines and old links land on the right new page. After launch we check Google Search Console for problems and fix them.
Can you keep our existing content?
Yes. We carry over the text, photos and documents you want to keep, and tidy them up for the new design. It's also a good moment to drop pages nobody reads.
Do we need access to the old site?
It helps to have the hosting and domain logins, and we'll help you track them down if they're lost. If we can't get in, we can still rebuild from what's public on the live site.
Can you rescue a site we didn't build?
Yes. Most rescues are sites built by someone else, on WordPress, an old site builder or hand-written code.
Our app is old but it works. Why change it?
Software that only runs on one PC or an unsupported system is a risk to your business if that machine fails. We'll tell you honestly whether a rebuild is worth it now or can wait.
